The 1969 ;Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was a monster performance, all-aluminum engine with a displacement of 427 cubic inches, which was originally designed for racing. Only 69 were built and are coveted by collectors today. Perhaps it should come as no surprise, then, that Chevrolet has chosen to revive this classical name for what it ;calls the fastest and most technologically advanced ever built Camaro.

At this stage, the specs are still preliminary, but Chevrolet is estimated that its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 LSA put around 550 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. The ponies will be sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission with a twin-disc clutch is needed to make the most of all horses. There is also a dual-mode exhaust that changes in the volume and character in response to engine speed.
Chevrolet says that his goal was to build a Camaro seeks to meet the best lap times on the racetrack, and an excellent driving dynamics on the street. To this end, the 2012 ZL1 Camaro is equipped with a new electric power steering system, and Magnetic Ride Control, which offers both the Tour and Sport mode. Brembo brakes measure 14.6 inches (370 mm) front (six-piston calipers) and 14.4 inches (365 mm) at the (four-piston calipers) brings everything back down quickly.

Obviously, there is a body kit update ZL1 differentiate small machines. Most notable is the fascia that includes a redesigned front splitter, fog lights and vertical air intakes are designed to cool the brakes. There is also an aluminum hood with a new raised satin blackcarbon fiber insert that uses a single extraction, said to increase support by directing air over the oncoming car. There is also a spoiler at the rear of the car and new aluminum wheels fitted with 20 inch tires specially developed F2 Supercar Goodyear.
